Instructions

Application guidelines

Always apply Block Blitz to dry block paving. Don’t apply if rain is forecast within the next 24 hours.

Standard application

Apply Block Blitz every 5-6 months, at any time of the year.

NB: Before use, it’s advisable to test a small inconspicuous area of the surface to be treated to check for suitability. Block Blitz Block paving cleaner may leave a white residue, but rainfall will gradually wash this away.

  • Step 1: Fill a 10 litre plastic watering can (fitted with a medium plastic rose) with cold water. Empty one sachet into the water and stir the solution until fully dissolved.
  • Step 2: Start applying at the highest point to control excessive run off that could damage grass and plants. Apply evenly to soak the surface area.
  • Step 3: Leave to dry. Rinse out the watering can and any other equipment with cold water.

Block paving in poor condition

Follow these additional steps for areas with excessive surface algae or weeds / moss between the joints.

  • Step 1: Apply first application of Block Blitz. Leave to work for a minimum of two weeks.
  • Step 2: Spot treat any remaining weed growth with weed killing product.
  • Step 3: Apply second treatment of Block Blitz 4 weeks after the first. Block Blitz will gradually break up the moss and debris between the joints and slowly disperse over time.

Results: Be patient

Allow rainfall to rinse your block paving and Block Blitz will gradually start to transform your paving. Block Blitz has a slow, secondary, cleaning effect which helps prevent the regrowth of algae and moss for months afterwards. It will also help clean jointing materials, helping to deter future weed growth. Any newly emerging weeds can be spot treated with a weed killing product. However, the more you use Block Blitz, the more resistant the joints will become to weed growth.

NB: Block Blitz will not restore the colour of weathered surfaces.
